Retail Centers
Merchants Square and surrounding businesses offer more than 50 unique shops, restaurants, and services. The Colonial Williamsburg Historic Area is home to stores, restaurants, and taverns that recreate the 18th century colonial environment. The City is also serviced by Williamsburg Shopping Center and Monticello Shopping Center.
Two new mixed-use retail/residential developments are planned: High Street Williamsburg and Quarterpath at Williamsburg.
According to the 2003 Census Bureau Summary, there are 232 Retail Trade establishments and 207 Accommodation and Food Service establishments in the City.
