Child Day Care Financing Program
The Virginia Department of Business Assistance offers financing to allow regulated child day care centers and Family Home Providers licensed by the Virginia Department of Social Services (DSS) to undertake quality enhancement projects or to maintain childcare standards such as renovations or repairs necessary to comply with health and safety standards required by DSS. For example, funds can be used towards items like playground equipment and learning aids. The program offers loans up to $50,000 for Child Day Centers and up to $5,000 for Family Home Providers. The rates are typically low with loan terms up to 5 years. Application fees for Centers are $100 and only $15 for Home Providers.
