COVID-19 Grants
Rebuild VA
This $70 million economic recovery fund launched in August 2020 and aims to help small businesses and non-profits whose normal operations were disrupted by COVID-19, including:
- Brick and mortar retail
- Campgrounds
- Entertainment and public amusement establishments
- Exercise and fitness facilities
- Personal care and personal grooming services
- Restaurants
Businesses and non-profits that are approved for a Rebuild VA grant may receive up to three times their average monthly eligible expenses up to a maximum of $10,000.
Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) - Small Business
This grant is a joint effort between the City of Williamsburg, the City of Poquoson, and York County. This grant provides businesses with up to $5,000 for:
- The purchase of Personal Protective Equipment required for businesses to safely reopen
- Modifications to businesses that facilitate social distancing
- Rent relief
Tourism Industry COVID-19 Relief Grant
This program offers relief grants to lodging and dining establishments, which have been severely impacted by COVID-19 mitigation measures and travel declines.
Greater Williamsburg Small Business Relief Fund
This is a joint effort between the Economic Development Authorities (EDA) of the City of Williamsburg and Counties of York and James City. This program provides up to $3,000 for City of Williamsburg businesses that have been impacted by COVID-19.
