Telephone

Verizon (800-483-2000) offers residential and business telephone services and DSL.

Cox Communications (757-224-1111) offers digital telephone, high-speed Internet services and cable television for residential and business use.

Newspapers

The Virginia Gazette serves as the local Williamsburg area newspaper and is published twice each week (Wednesday and Saturday).

The Daily Press, a sister publication to the Virginia Gazette, publishes a daily newspaper for the greater Peninsula including the Williamsburg area.

The Virginian Pilot, another sister publication to the Virginia Gazette and the Daily Press, is a daily paper providing coverage of the southside Hampton Roads area with some coverage of the Peninsula.

The Richmond Times-Dispatch, is a daily paper focusing on the greater Richmond area and the upper Peninsula, available in the Williamsburg region.

Online Local News

The WY Daily provides online daily news for the Williamsburg area.

Television  

Five area stations offer local broadcasting:

Cox Communications provides cable television services for the area. Local government and WJCC school information is broadcast on cable channels 46 through 48.

 Radio

WMBG 740 AM and 93.5 FM – The Burg broadcasts from downtown Williamsburg.

WCWM 90.9 FM broadcasts from William & Mary.

The Tide 92.3 FM broadcasts from the Williamsburg area.

WBACH 107.9 broadcasts from the Williamsburg area.    .
